Drag Show
Every spring semester the Missouri Southern State University puts on a drag show on campus for the local community. Date is to be announced.

Joplin Pride
Joplin celebrates Pride in late August.
Below consists of links that can lead you to specific articles, books, and informational pamphlets geared towards to what best informs the community of current LGBT issues. Some things that are available is literature reviews of LGBT novels, trans tips on safe binding and tucking, as well as navigating pronoun preferences in professional settings, just to name a few. ​
This student-led digital resource is from the perspective of a college student working to answer a need for information in the Joplin region. We are always seeking to improve upon what we have established. If you find something out of date, or have questions, we are happy to help answer them anytime. We are always taking suggestions for new sections, and look forward to expanding upon our sources to better to serve the community.

Safe Zone training is a program on Missouri Southern that works to ensure that faculty and staff are given the opportunity to attend diversity classes.
